Barnsley College students will take audiences on a hard-hitting journey through a city in their latest production.
Students on the Creative and Media advanced diploma course have written, designed and directed 'Urban', a piece of visual theatre incorporating everything they have learned during their studies.
Student Alex Taylor, 18, of James Street, Worsbrough Dale, said: "The show is all about different aspects and circumstances that appear in a city. We see snapshots of different people's lives.
"Kirstie Barnes, 18, of Beech Street, Worsbrough Common, said: "The main thing we wanted the audience to come away with is just because you see someone in a business suit it doesn't mean they're prim and proper, and just because someone's in a hoodie doesn't mean they're a thug. It's challenging the stereotypes."
The show, which has been created by seven crew members and four performing arts students, also features a rag doll 'prostitute'. There are three performances of the show on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets are available from the college's Honeywell campus reception.
