A park has been temporarily closed because of vandalism.
Churchside Community Park, Athersley South,had signs put on gates stating it was closed for health and safety reasons.
The play area within the community park has had some of the soft surfacing ripped out, making it a health hazard for children. Nearby residents saw older kids climbing over the gates and fencing to gain access even though it was locked this week.
