The first pupils from Kingstone and Holgate have been given a tour of the new Horizon ALC which will replace them.
The Chronicle joined them for a look behind the scenes at the work, on the former SR Gent site, off Dodworth Road.It will feature five 'schools' - one for each year group and will take more than 2,000 pupils when it opens in September.
Principal Nick Bowen said it was exciting. "It will be one of the biggest and best-resourced schools in the country."
