BARNSLEY will find out their full list of opponents for the 2025/26 League One season over the bank holiday weekend when the play-off finals take place.

The League One play-off final is between Charlton Athletic and Leyton Orient on Sunday, so the Reds will not make the trip to one of the London clubs next season in the league.

Monday’s League Two play-off is between AFC Wimbledon and Walsall, with the winner facing the Reds in the third tier next season.

Barnsley will be joined next season by relegated Championship clubs Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town and Cardiff City – three of their longer trips of the coming campaign.

There will be more local derbies against the teams promoted automatically from League Two, who are Yorkshire clubs Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City as well as Port Vale.

The other clubs in League One next season will by Wycombe Wanderers, Stockport County, Reading, Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool, Huddersfield Town, Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Stevenage, Wigan Athletic, Exeter City, Mansfield Town, Peterborough United, Northampton Town and Burton Albion.

The fixtures are due to be revealed on June 26.

The EFL Trophy and EFL Cup draws are the same day.
