Barnsley midfielder Jonathan Bland has been selected for Wales under 21s.

They are due to play against Norway on Friday during a training camp in Marbella, Spain.

Bland, 19, broke into the Reds first team at the end of the last season under Conor Hourihane, playing at right-back then in midfield which is his usual position.

Another young Barnsley midfielder Vimal Yoganathan is on standby for the Wales squad.

Young Reds defender Connor Barratt is on standby for the Republic of Ireland under 21s while Jacob Devaney, who is from Barnsley but at Manchester United, is in the squad.
