JENSON Hayes was the star of Monk Bretton’s win at Penistone in a low-scoring Division One clash.
He took six for 11 off eight overs to bowl the hosts out for 83 then, after the Monks fell to 37 for five, he made 37 not out to see them home with six down in 33.4 overs.
Houghton Main chased 211 for a two-wicket win at Wickersley 2nd XI.
Vigneshwar Ramesh took three wickets then Asim Javed made 77 with five sixes.
Darfield fell 43 runs short chasing 192 at home to Upper Haugh.
Joe Stickland took five wickets and Saman Khursheed three.
Joseph Mosley scored 117 not out off 79 balls and Emilia Rossi took six wickets in Silkstone United’s win at home to Conisbrough 2nd XI in Division Five.
Mosley hit six sixes and 14 fours with Daniel Walker adding 54 and Finlay Allen 55 not out in Silkstone’s 289, before the visitors were all out for 74.
Penistone 2nd XI fell 52 runs short chasing 188 at Whiston Forge.
John Beachill made 59.
Higham were bowled out for 120 in a five-wicket loss at Wath 2nd XI in Division Three.
Greg Walton made 56 for Higham but they collapsed from 72 for one.
Josh Burrows took four wickets for Wath then Isaac Wainwright carried his bat with 66 not out.
Wombwell Main were skittled for 50 chasing 75 at Barnby Dun in Division Four. Tom Peck took five for 18.
Kexborough won by 42 runs at Doncaster Town 3rd XI. They posted 153 then Suthaharan Nadesapillai took five wickets and Neil Hinchliffe three.
Green Moor fell 19 runs chasing 156 at Handsworth in Division Six.
Satinderpal Singh took four wickets and Curtis Coles three then Satvir Singh made 69.
Brennan Wilson continued his excellent season by carrying his bat with 166 not out in Cawthorne 2nd XI’s win at Norton Woodseats in Division Two.
Wilson bashed 16 fours and ten sixes off 145 balls in Cawthorne’s 295, which took him to 820 runs for the season at an average of 102. It was his fourth hundred of the campaign. Ryan Gibson then took five wickets to remove the hosts for 165.
Alistair Cooper scored 117 off 85 balls in Higham 2nd XI’s win at home to Handsworth 2nd XI. Cooper hit 16 fours and three sixes while James Lawson added 56 in Higham’s 214 then Cameron Parker took five wickets to bowl Handsworth out for 150.
Rockingham 3rd XI lost but three wickets at Brookhouse.
Simon Grindle took four for 19.
Dearne’s 149 was not enough in an eight-wicket loss at home to Wombwell Main 2nd XI in Division Eight.
Ben Whitehouse made 94 not out for Dearne and Richard Wilkinson scored an unbeaten 86 for Wombwell.
Houghton Main 2nd XI dismissed Thorncliffe and Wentworth 2nd XI for 99 in a five-wicket win. Gul Safi took five wickets and Shir Ali Ahmadzai four then Shokoor Ahmadzai hit 52 off 26 balls.
Monk Bretton 2nd XI were all out for 112 in a four-wicket loss at home to Norton Oakes 2nd XI. Alfie Robinson took four wickets.
Wath 3rd XI chased 188 for a four-wicket win over Eden Grove Parklands 2nd XI in Division Nine. Mark Barlow took four wickets then both Charlie Whitehead and Ollie Burrows scored 51.
Silkstone United 2nd XI won by 72 runs at Worsbrough Bridge 2nd XI.
Joe Green (96) and Jack Pepper (61) led Silkstone to 182 while Bridge’s Leon Kemp took four wickets.
