Former Barnsley goalkeeper Scott Flinders has returned as goalkeeper coach.
Flinders came through the Reds youth system and played 14 games before leaving in 2006.
He spent time at Crystal Palace, Hartlepool - where he made more than 250 appearances - York, Macclesfield, Cheltenham and Mansfield where he spent last season.
The 39-year-old replaces Matt Gilks.
Danny Nye is the new head of performance.
