HOYLANDSWAINE’S title race in the Huddersfield Premiership will go to the final day after both them and rivals Rastrick saw their games rained off this week.

Swaine are two points clear at the top so a win at home to fifth-placed Golcar will give them an eighth title since 2012 but a first since 2022.

Champions Hoylandswaine 2nd XI remained unbeaten in the Conference this season by bowling Thurstonland out for 72 defending 214.

Number ten Adeel Baig made 54 not out off 30 balls with six sixes as Swaine went from 110 for seven to a total of 214.

Baig then took five for 33.
