There was success for Barnsley players Jon Russell and Jono Bland representing their countries on Tuesday evening while Patrick Kelly came close to an upset.
Russell and Jamaica are back on top of their World Cup qualifying group.
They won 4-0 in the home game against Bermuda, with Russell coming off the bench having started Friday’s loss at Curacao.
The Reggae Boyz are a point clear at the top of their group. Their final two matches take place next month against Trinidad and Tobago then Curacao.
The group winners go straight through to the World Cup next summer in the USA, Mexico and Canada while the two highest-placed runners-up in the three groups go into play-offs against other sides from around the world in March.
No Barnsley player has played at the World Cup before and Russell is contracted until next summer.
Bland started for Wales under 21s in their 2-0 win at Austria in a European Championship qualifier.
Kelly started for Northern Ireland under 21s who led Germany on Tuesday but conceded twice late on and lost 2-1. Bayley McCann – the Barnsley player on loan to Peterborough Sports – was an unused substitute.
