A CHARITY football match will support a local cause.
Teams captained by tradesmen Jaimie Ashley and Aydan Evans will play a game of charity football with popular trade influencers - all in support of Barnsley Hospice.
Local companies OB1 and Siroflex envisioned the idea for a tussle of the trades, whilst supporting a charity close to their hearts.
The family-friendly match is free to attend and promises fun, raffles and most importantly, football.
There will exciting games, including penalty shootouts - where lucky participants can win anything from merchandise to thousands of pounds of vouchers.
It will kick-off on Friday, October 31, at 12pm, at the Barnsley College Sports Academy.
Organisers encouraged locals to get together for a fun day out, whilst supporting the hospice.
Those who can’t make the match can donate to the event’s Just Giving page, currently sitting at just over half of their £5,000 target.
Jaimie Ashley said: “I can’t put into words how it feels, it’s crazy.
“The nice thing is being able to bring people from across the country to get involved and raise some money for a good cause.
“Some of the players are travelling hours from Scotland.
“The players mentioned it’s cold now and maybe you don’t get out as much.
“Mentally, it’s a good thing to get together and play a game of football.”
