DEARNE and District stretched their lead at the top of NCEL Division One to seven points with two wins this week.
They have won their last nine games, scoring 36 goals, while they have 55 points from 22 games out of the 42 they have to play this season.
Second-placed Harrogate Railway and third-placed Worsbrough Bridge each have three games in hand on Dearne and are seven and nine points behind respectively.
Dearne won 3-2 at Brigg Town on Wednesday. Jamie Austin scored a hat-trick then the hosts pulled two back either side of a red card.
They are now due to welcome Crowle Colts on Saturday then Penistone Church on Tuesday in the Sheffield Senior Cup.
Penistone Church are winless in eight and tenth in the Premier League table – 11 points off the play-offs and eight clear of the relegation zone.
They drew 2-2 at home to Golcar on Wednesday. The visitors took the lead then Luca DeFalco levelled just before the break.
Nathan Keightley put Church in front on 87 minutes – his 160th goal for the club on his 300th appearance – but Golcar levelled in injury-time.
