BOLTON-upon-Dearne actor Dean Sills has returned to a genre he loves after landing a role in a new film.
Nathan Head, co-star of Netflix’s Robert and the Toymaker and the upcoming Dracula: Rise of the Vampire, has created the new film ‘The Mystery of Dipyramidion’.
In the film Dean plays the role of Nosey Norman, who happens to be the neighbour of Nathan Head’s character.
The cast also features a mix of cult favourites including Clint Beaver, of Waspzilla and Amityville Hex fame, as arrogant millionaire collector Beau Remington III, and drag sensation Bunny Galore as the dangerous social media superstar Lady Roxy.
Dean said: “For the characteristics of Nosey Norman, although I am a private person, everyone knows a gossipmonger.
“People who spread gossip and have a strong interest in other people’s lives more than their own.
“As a method actor I just used observational techniques to portray Norman and made him annoying, rude and a rather sad individual.
“I have worked with Nathan on a number of films.
“He’s a brilliant actor and a top bloke so I was thrilled to bits when he offered me the role of Norman.
“Regarding the wardrobe department it is something I would never wear but it helped bring my character to life especially since my character is camp.”
Dean’s daughter Rebecca also worked on the film as second unit camera.
This is the second horror feature film she has done camera work on and she enjoyed the camera directions to help tell the story visually.
