BARNSLEY Council has relaunched an app to try and make the borough safer.
The WalkSafe app offers a range of features designed to help residents and visitors feel safe when out and about.
You can share your live location, identify trusted local venues and plot a safe route home.
Coun Wendy Cain, cabinet spokesperson for public health and communities, said: “Barnsley Council is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
“Funding the WalkSafe app is a clear demonstration of that commitment.
“We encourage all residents to download the app and take advantage of its features.
“Together, we can make Barnsley a safer place for all.”
