PENISTONE Footpath Runner Flynn Rogers was sixth overall and first junior man in 35-24 at the Wickersley 10k.

Lee Hopkins completed the course in 49-46 while Ben Thorogood set a personal best of 52-00.

Barnsley veteran Bert Beaumont was first over80 in a time of 59-08.

Barnsley AC’s Nigel Morton ran the Wickersley 10k in 44-49.

Barnsley Harrier Wendy Jeffels was just outside her PB at the Nottingham 10k. She finished 1,173rd in 62-13

Deborah Wilson was the lone Harrier at the Chester 10k for her first 10k of the year. She came 5,110th in 61-45.

Barnsley AC’s Laura Mills completed her first ever Ultra Marathon on Sunday.

The 30-mile route with 3000 feet of elevation started and finished at Morland near Penrith in the Lake District. Laura’s time was 7-43-28.

Barnsley AC’s Gail Colville was first woman at the International Ladies Day 5k in a time of 20-04.

Two Penistone club members tackled the demanding Saddleworth Ten Reservoirs challenge, a 27-mile off-road route across the Pennine moors.

Shaun Swallow completed the course in 6-17-05 to place fourth in the male over55 category, while Harriet Drouin finished in 7-14-35 to place 80th woman.

Penistone’s Chris Hodgson and Oliver Pike travelled to the Lake District to compete in the Black Combe Fell Race, part of the English Fell Running Championship series.

Hodgson finished 296th in 1-49-54 while Pike placed 319th in 1-53-02.

At the No Walk in the Park 5k in Chesterfield, Penistone’s Edward Holley finished as second junior male in 21-13.

Ray Brown claimed victory in the male over85 category in 34-31 while Barbara Haigh won the women’s over75 category in 30-59. Mandy Mallinder was third woman over55 in 26-28 and Lorraine Mackie finished fifth in the same category in 28-26. Jen Holley ran 26-23 to place fifth women over35.

Penistone’s Stefan Butler-Gillen completed the Lisbon Half Marathon in 2-10 as part of the international SuperHalf series.

Penistone’s Sara Wolstenholme and Angie Rollinson took part in the March Hare Trail Run around Penistone, finishing in 1-06 and 1-11 respectively.

John Howsham completed the March Hare’s Final Run, guiding Louise Simpson around the course in 5-01-01.
