Barnsley’s Patrick Kelly has been named in Northern Ireland’s senior squad for their World Cup play-off against Italy next week.
The midfielder made his senior international debut in November and has kept his place in the squad for the game at Atalanta’s ground on March 26.
The winners will then face either Wales or Bosnia and Herzegovina for a place in the summer tournament.
At least one of Jono Bland and Vimal Yoganathan is expected to be in the Wales under 21s squad while Owen Goodman could be selected by Canada and David McGoldrick is reportedly being considered for a return to the Republic of Ireland squad.
If three of those players are called up, Barnsley can choose to postpone their match at Northampton Town on March 28.
