MIDFIELDER Patrick Kelly made his second appearance for Northern Ireland this week but will not be going to the World Cup after his country were knocked out of qualifying by Italy.
The 21-year-old was called up for Michael O’Neill’s side during the international games but was an unused substitute in the 2-0 loss in Bergamo last week.
However he did start and play 64 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Wales on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Bland played 67 minutes for Wales u21s as they fell to a 4-0 defeat against Denmark in a Euro u21 qualification match on Tuesday.
The result leaves his side in fourth place with six points from six games.
Xu Bin made his full debut for China in a 2-0 friendly win over Curacao in Melbourne, Australia last week.
He then played the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 loss against Cameroon.
He is on loan to Barnsley from Wolverhampton Wanderers and has been playing for the under 21s.
Loanee goalkeeper Owen Goodman was an unused substitute for both of Canada’s friendly games this week, the latter taking place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
