Ali Zaryab carried his bat with 131 not out as Barnsley Woolley Miners won at Coal Aston in the South Yorkshire Championship.

The Pakistani batter hit 13 fours and two sixes as Barnsley chased 256 with seven wickets and three balls left.

He shared a stand of 185 with captain Boeta Beukes (82) after Lucas Slatter had taken three wickets.

The Shaw Laners have won their first two after relegation last season.

Elsecar chased 227 for a six-wicket win at Tickhill. Arsalan Mir took four wickets then made 75 not out with Curtley Louw adding 64.
