LOCALS flocked to the town centre on Saturday to take part in Barnsley’s Armed Forces Celebration Day.
The military parade took place at 10.30am and was followed by a host of activities for locals young and old to take part in.
Barnsley MPs Dan Jarvis and Stephanie Peacock were among those in attendance.
Then on Monday, a short service was also held in front of the town hall war memorial to raise the Armed Forces flag, marking the start of Armed Forces Week.
