Robert Flewitt and David Cooper will be baring all when they star in a stage production of The Full Monty.

Alongside them will be Richard Caille, Will Bisby, Phil Walsh and Anthonie Williams-Browne, playing six unemployed steelworkers who turn to stripping to make some cash.

It’s a brave ‘nude’ world for the blokes who are preparing to stand in the buff in front of packed theatre - expected to be full of women.

But David said he is more worried about playing the lead than taking his kit off. “There are a lot of people who are just amazed that you can do this thing, because in the cold light of day, we’re talking the ‘full monty’ here. It’s not just a strip down to underpants or a g-string.

“I’m more nervous about the size of the role than I am about the ending. The end is over in a flash, so it’s easy.”

Theatre administrator Ruth Atkinson said: “We’re expecting a good reaction, because apart from Saturday afternoon it’s already sold out, and that says it all.
