Barnsley is home to an A-Team of students who have achieved more top grades in their A-level results than ever before.
There has been an overall increase in the number of students in Barnsley achieving A* to B grades.
Barnsley College saw a five per cent rise in students bagging top grades, with an overall pass rate of 97 per cent and more students achieving higher grades than in previous years.
It also had a 100 per cent pass rates in 12 subjects, including English, further maths and French.
The college's sixth form principal, Jenny Miccoli, said she was absolutely delighted with this year's results, particularly as the college had 168 more students sitting exams this year.
"I am so pleased for everyone," she said.
"Getting the results they want is the first start on the next stage of their journey and I'm happy we've been able to help them do that.
"It's great for the students and the staff as well because they are very dedicated and really committed."
At Penistone Grammar School ALC, results were an improvement on last year and the number of students gaining A* to B grades have increased by nine per cent.
Principal Jo Higgins said the 'excellent results' meant 96 per cent of students had bagged a place at university.
Ms Higgins said the results were a testament to students' hard work and the continued commitment of staff and the support of parents.
Barnsley Academy celebrated after recording its best ever A-level results.
Of those students who sat exams at the Academy's sixth form, 27 per cent achieved A grades, the first ones to do so, with 53 per cent receiving A* to B compared to just eight per cent last year. The overall pass rate was 100 per cent, up from 92 per cent last year.
Barnsley Academy principal Dave Berry said he was immensely proud of all the sixth form students.
"We had nearly double the number of students taking A-levels this year.
"We wish all of our departing sixth form students all the very best as they head off to university in their ongoing pursuit of educational excellence and career success."
