A PUB is throwing a New Year's Eve party tomorrow after the real one was ruined by an eight hour power cut.
Vicky and Chris Sagar, landlords at the Fox and Hounds pub, Shafton say their first New Year at the pub cost them thousands of pounds in takings.
Houses across Shafton and along Pontefract Road as far as the DARDS pub at Cudworth saw in the New Year in darkness after power went off at 10pm and didn’t come back on until 6.30 the following day.
David and Joy Glover, landlords at the DARDS, want compensation from the supplier as they lost more than £6,000 in takings.
