A MASSIVE residents' parking scheme for nearly 20 side streets near Wombwell town centre is going out to public consultation.
The householders on the streets between John Street and Kelvin Grove have been urged to attend sessions at the Wombwell Operatic Society headquarters in George Street on January 19 and 20.
Coun Dick Wraith emphasised the council has made no decision on the final proposals but there are various options which they want the public to discuss with them.
The scheme is also expected to be discussed at a Wombwell/Darfield area forum at the centre a few days later.
He said the side-streets are all narrow and some householders are having difficulty parking outside their own homes because shoppers wanted to park near the town centre.
