TEXTUAL healing for anyone who feels their life needs a bit of an uplift has been launched by the Salvation Army in Goldthorpe.

Cptns Christine and Adrian Lee are spearheading the G21 Mobile (God for the 21st Century) campaign to give support to people over the mobile phone network’s text messaging service.

“We’re all about supporting people, no matter what their background, race or religious beliefs,” said Cpt Chris Lee, who manages the service.

“We wanted to set up a support network which works like a church, but not in the traditional sense. Many people need a helping hand, especially at this time of year, and they can use G21 Mobile on their terms in the safety of their homes or workplace.”
