IT’S nearly D-day for the good looking lads and lasses of Barnsley — as this week is the last chance to enter the Face of Barnsley competition.

The Chronicle is looking for the most attractive boy and girl in the borough, so if you are 16 to 24 find a recent picture of yourself and send it to us.

And all you mums, dads, nans and granddads, if you think you have a relative who should be the Face of Barnsley why not send in their photograph.

Every entrant will feature in a free pull out later this month and a panel of judges will pick 25 girls and 25 boys to go to the knockout stages of the competition.

Then it is up to Chronicle readers to vote for their favourite. Week-by-week our finalists will be whittled down until five males and five females remain. They will then take part in the grand final and vie for a fantastic package of prizes and the chance to launch a modelling career.

This week we can announce that Toni and Guys hairdressers will help the finalists look extra special on the big night — each will get their hair done by one of their stylists. The salon, on Barnsley Arcade, will also give both the male and female winner £150 to spend at Toni and Guys.

Our winning pair will also get put on the books of Chic Model Agency for two years and will get a portfolio photo shoot from the agency after the first year. Photographers Stan Plus Stan Two will also give the winning pair a photo shoot and album worth £365.
