DARFIELD continues to suffer broken windows as vandals kick, throw stones and shoot at shop fronts with a ball bearing gun.

D.G Decorators on Edward Street, the dentists on Garden Street, the Cafe and the chemist on Snape Hill have all been riddled with small holes which Darfield’s independent councillor David Wainwright says are made by a ball bearing gun.

There are also some bigger holes and cracks particularly in the cafe which staff believe are caused by stones.

Derek Griffiths, of D.G Decorators, has had windows shot at twice in the last three months, and currently has holes in three of the five windows fronting his shop.
