POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an 82-year-old man was left with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Darfield.
The man was reportedly struck at around 5.35pm on Wednesday by a green Vauxhall Corsa travelling along Garden Street, Darfield towards the junction with Barnsley Road, according to the police.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Witnesses to the collision should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 686 of January 7.
