A BARNSLEY man is in the running for Yorkshire carer of the year after winning the local title.
Eric Barnett, who works at Saxondale Nursing Home, is up against five other regional finalists for the Co-operative Funeralcare sponsored award.
He was nominated by his manager Mary Ackroyd who said: “Eric is the most devoted and loyal carer I have had the privilege to work with.”
A ceremony will be held at the Wortley House Hotel in Scunthorpe on February 22.
