MILLY Johnson's debut book has sold out at Tesco even though it was not due to be put on the shelves until next month.

The supermarket decided to sell the Dodworth Road mum's tale of love and friendship three weeks early and Milly is delighted with the response.

She says local support for her work, which is set in her home town, has been like a ‘lovely cushion of air’.

The former greeting card writer appeared on BBC breakfast tv this week to talk about Valentine's day.

She admitted it was a terrifying experience but hopes it will stand her in good stead for the flurry of interviews she faces over the next few weeks.

Milly said: “I'm having a fantastic time but I'm staying grounded. I've got to pick up my cat from his hernia operation later.”

Tesco is reordering Milly’s book and it officially goes on sale elsewhere on March 5.
