THE North Area Council is launching a one-off grants programme to benefit community groups and organisations and there's £100,000 in the pot up for grabs.
Bids can be made for The North Stronger Communities Grant for projects by groups in Mapplewell, Woolley Colliery, Staincross, Darton, Kexborough, Barugh, Barugh Green, Redbrook, Gawber, Wilthorpe, Pogmoor, Old Town, Honeywell, Smithies, New Lodge and Athersley.
The North Area Council will award grants from £5,000 to £20,000 for projects running from April to March next year, and the funding must address the area council's local priorities - young people, health and well being, and the environment.
