WOODLAND volunteers are needed to help plant 600 trees in the Wombwell area.
On February 22, the Wombwell Woods Society will be meeting in Woodhead Lane car park to plant a mixture of Oak, Silver Birch and Wild Cherry trees.
The trees will be planted from 9am until 12pm on the former opencast site, next to Wombwell Woods.
James Fleetwood, from Forestry Commission England, said during the coffee break there will be an opportunity to discuss the business of the Wombwell Woods Society and future projects.
