A 'TRANSFORMED' primary school has been awarded the second highest grade possible from Ofsted.
The Forest Academy, formerly Kendray Primary School, has been part of the Wellspring Academy Trust since May 2013. It was last inspected in 2011, when it was still under local authority control, and at the time was deemed 'satisfactory' by Ofsted.
There has been a dramatic turnaround for the school in its first inspection since converting to an academy - after being rated as 'good' across the board by the education watchdog.
The Thornton Road school's latest report highlights its 'outstanding leadership', a 'significant rise in pupils' achievement', and a highly improved quality of teaching which has led to a more 'enjoyable experience for pupils'.
