DEVELOPMENT firm Dransfield Properties has been given the go-ahead to start a £40-million regeneration project in Manchester. The Tankersley-based company, has carried out regeneration work all over England, including plans for a controversial supermarket development in Penistone. They will now work with Manchester City Council to transform the rundown Openshaw district. A new shopping, leisure and commercial complex will be built creating up to 75 new jobs in the city. The firm's plans have been approved by the city council. Andrew Malley, retail property director at Dransfield Properties, said: “We are pleased that the plans have been approved by the council and are looking forward to starting on site next year."
