A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl who raised hundreds of pounds after her friend's little brother was born with an underdeveloped heart has been nominated for a Proud of Barnsley award.

Olivia Hardy has raised money in almost every way possible - from cutting off her hair to sponsored runs and swims.

Her friend Lily Ward's little brother Jonah, two, was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which means only half his heart was developed.

Mum Philippa, of Birch Close, Ryhill, said Olivia is 'inspirational, selfless, generous, passionate about the cause and determined to make a difference'.
