A MAN who has spent almost 40 years searching for buried treasure has finally struck gold — or silver to be more precise.

Neil Watson has unearthed three silver coins thought to be almost 2,000 years old on farmland at Worsbrough and he believes they are just a fragment of what might be buried there.

The find is classed legally as a 'treasure trove' and he has had to formally declare it with the coroner's office.
