AN 'AUGMENTED reality' experience is now available in Barnsley town centre in the first project of its type in the world.
The former Tec building, above the former Grogger's Rest pub, has been covered with a poster, which went viewed through a special app on your smartphone transforms into moving 3D images.
The images celebrate the achievements of the Enterprising Young People, who have helped start 70 new businesses in a European-funded project, and are designed to show 'office pods' imagining businesses based inside the disused building.
To see the images, a person with a smartphone and the app has to hold the device up towards the building, and will see on the screen it transform into huge rotating banners displaying the logos of the various businesses.
These images can only be seen when using the app.
