MEMBERS of the public gathered at the construction site where Conley Thompson was found dead to observe a minute's silence for the seven-year-old.
Conley, of Underwood Avenue, Bank End, was found by workmen last Monday and is thought to have suffocated on his own clothes after becoming trapped inside a vertical pipe on the Bank End Road building site.
A handful of people gathered just before noon - alongside a sea of flowers, toys and teddies left for Conley - to join others across Barnsley in the mark of respect for the 'sparkly-eyed' Bank End Primary pupil whose life was cut tragically short.
