AN electrical pole collapsed and brought down two power cables after it was hit by a car.
Police are keen to trace the occupant or occupants of a blue Volkswagen Golf who were not in the vehicle when emergency services arrived at the scene on Silkstone Lane at about 2.55am on Tuesday.
The crash happened at the junction with Norcroft Lane and the road was closed for much of the day while the cables were made safe.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information should contact 101 quoting incident number 84 of September 1.
