RESCUER David Mills and his search dog Poppy put their lives on the line to help others in emergency situations.
David is a search and rescue volunteer and specialist search planner. He and border collie Poppy, the family dog, are members of the Yorkshire Lowland Search and Rescue Team.
The pair are regularly called out - at any time, day or night - to emergency situations where the police or ambulance services suspect someone is injured or missing in a location which is difficult to get to.
David, 33, of Grosvenor Drive, Barnsley, has been nominated for a Proud of Barnsley award by his wife Katie.
