A FATHER who has a rare cancer which less than 400 people worldwide suffer from is desperate to see his young daughter grow up.
Graham McDonald, 47, was diagnosed with gray zone lymphoma - a rare blood cancer - in January and his only hope of treatment in the UK is stem cell treatment.
After three different types of gruelling chemotherapy failed, Graham has just completed a course of 15 sessions of radiotherapy to shrink the tumour. Then, once a suitable donor is found, it is hoped he will be able to receive stem cell therapy.
If not, the only other option is to travel to America - where experts do not believe it is necessary to wait for the tumour to shrink - and the family has already made contact with hospitals and started to fund-raise.
