A BARNSLEY man is leading the local arm of the Rucksack Project - a campaign to make winter a bit more bearable for the homeless.

The project, part of a national movement, is organised by local marketing and branding expert Adie Flute and is in its third year in Barnsley working alongside the Barnsley Churches Drop-in Project.

He is on the lookout for venues where donations can be handed over by the public or act as storage for the collected donations. The packed rucksacks are handed out on December 19 at the drop-in project’s headquarters on John Street.

To help, or for more information about the project, contact Adie on adieflute@me.com or visit The Rucksack Project Barnsley Facebook page.
