COUNCIL-owned football pitches will be closed for a fifth successive weekend.
The decision has been taken due to adverse weather and ground conditions.
It is understood the secretary of Barnsley Sunday League is to apply for an extension to the season.
Barnsley Council has apologised for any inconvenience this weekend’s closures may cause.
