THIS hairstyle was apparently too ‘extreme’ for Kirk Balk’s uniform policy.
Michelle Steeples, 33, pulled daughter Lauren, 13, out of school, after she was confronted by a teacher and told she could either change her hair or face the consequences.
Michelle, of Shortwood Villas, said: “Her hair style was classed as ‘extreme’ but there’s hardly anything extreme about it. Blue or green would be extreme, but not blonde.”
“In the meeting on Tuesday they stood their ground. Apparently Lauren’s hair wasn’t ‘in keeping with the uniform of Kirk Balk’. The deputy head asked me to either strip the colour out or dye it one colour.”
Kirk Balk school declined to comment.
