A WARNING has been issued to pet owners after a two-inch shard of wood became lodged under a dog’s tongue.
Tilly, a five-year-old crossbreed, was rushed to Cudworth’s Abbey Vets by owner Rob Green, of Park Close, Ryhill.
The family pet was playing a game of fetch with a stick - something which carries substantial danger, according to vet Jenny Aspey.
