FORMER Worsbrough school pupils who made a plaque depicting different parts of the village have met with councillors who rescued it from a skip.

The plaque was made by year seven and eight pupils who attended the now-demolished Worsbrough High School and features Wigfield Farm - where the plaque is now on display - the former school, the football club and the Red Lion pub.

It was rescued by Coun Dave Leech who passed it on to Worsbrough Couns John Clarke and Wayne Johnson.

The pair then went about tracing the children who made it.
