PETER Naylor is lucky to be alive after a car being chased by police crashed though the front wall of his bungalow into his bedroom after losing control on a notorious bad bend at Pogmoor.
Peter was asleep in his bed when the car smashed through the wall sending rubble and debris right across his bed and bedroom but miraculously he was unhurt.
“It was literally in the room, engine still running,” said Peter, 71. Peter did sustain some minor injuries, but only when he tried to squeeze himself though the newly created hole between the rubble and the car so he could chase after the fleeing driver.
“I was in total shock,” he said.
