A NEW Wombwell primary school has been deemed ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted education inspectors.
The overall effectiveness of High View Primary Learning Centre on Newsome Avenue, which has 471 pupils, was graded outstanding - the highest grade inspectors can give.
In a report to be released publicly on Monday, inspectors said: “High View Primary Learning Centre provides an outstanding level of education for its pupils and parents are rightly pleased with the opportunities their children receive.
“Pupils say they are very happy in school and that they thoroughly enjoy their lessons and the wide range of additional activities the school provides.”
In 27 specific areas inspectors looked at, 18 were graded outstanding, eight good, and one, attendance, satisfactory.
