HOME is still very much where the heart is for a former world champion from Barnsley.
Inline skater Jenna Downing, who won the LG Action Sports title in 2008, also went on to become a ten-time British champion after she became the youngest ever female to turn professional at the tender age of 12.
Having grown up in Royston, the 28-year-old is now based in Merseyside but regularly returns to the town to visit her family.
“I still come back to Barnsley a lot - it’s where I’m from so it’s definitely something I love doing. I’m so proud of being from Barnsley and people do comment on where I’m from when I’m around the country. I’m a proud Yorkshire lass and it’s shaped who I am today.”
