OFFENDERS are finding retribution in helping to redecorate a Darfield church.

The Community Payback scheme allocates offenders who have been sentenced to work hours to projects which can benefit the wider area.

Only projects which could not be fulfilled otherwise - if the organisation or group could not afford it without the payback scheme - can be chosen.

Darfield Valley Methodist Church, on Snape Hill Road, Low Valley, has had offenders working in its community hall and surrounding pavement in recent weeks helping revitalise the well used location.
