CHILDREN’S swings at a Cudworth play area have been removed after the latest spate of vandalism.
The area, at Royston Road, was targeted by yobs last week and its safety surfacing has had to be replaced by Barnsley Council - at a cost of £700.
Coun Charlie Wraith said: “The people responsible have caused around £700 damage - they’re stupid, mindless morons. Do they not realise that their parents and the rest of the public will have to pay for these repairs through their council tax?”
