THE NATIONAL Union of Teachers believes a radical overhaul of school holidays in Barnsley will cause ‘chaos’ for parents.
Union officials have made its position clear this week on renewed proposals to ditch the traditional six week break, with council bosses opting for having five weeks in summer and an extra week in October.
The reaffirmation from the NUT comes as Barnsley Council reopened the debate on shaking up school holidays by announcing a public consultation around the school holiday pattern.
